THE BAND

Asking Alexandria formed in York, England and broke through with their 2009 debut Stand Up and Scream — the record “Closure” is from. With Danny Worsnop up front, they became one of the defining metalcore bands of the era.

THE GUITARISTS

Ben Bruce · lead, founder

The riff engine behind the whole band — the blueprint for sitting heavy rhythm right next to melody without losing either.

Schecter Hellraiser C-1 · my workhorse

Tight low end, enough output to push the heavy parts, clear enough that the melodic parts still speak. Built for this.

WHAT IT TAKES TO PLAY IT

“Closure” is a study in control — ride heavy palm-muted riffing, then open up for the melodic parts without the dynamics collapsing. After a year inside the theory (that story’s here) it finally feels like a conversation, not a copy.

⚡ Available for work

California metal guitarist — open for FILL-IN & SESSION work, plus the wedding-band project. If your band needs someone who shows up knowing the set, let’s talk.
